Chrome Divas New Smyrna Beach Chapter
August 5, 2009

I am really happy to be a part of this fantastic group of women.  This will just be my personal Diva Blog.  This is not affiliated with the national chapter or part of their website so anything I say here does not reflect on them in any way.  The blog and pictures here will be about my 'doins' with this group.  If you are reading this and are not a member, please consider joining.  The national website will give you all the information you need to get started.

I will post pictures here of my adventures.  I hope you will drop by every now and then to see what's going on with the Divas.  All is well in my world.

Charlie
A great ride and lunch with the Jax Divas and NSB Divas.
My first Diva meeting.  Getting to know the girls.
Diva Friends Robyn, Charlie and Stacey
Robyn and Stacey are the best.  You can see the fun in the smiles.  We had a wonderful time getting to know the Jacksonville chapter.  Great group of women riders.  I am looking forward to riding with them again.  This was my first Diva event to put me on my way to magic number 3 so I could join.

The shirts are incredible.  If you are interested, contact THUNDERWEAR here in Daytona Beach.  She has some incredible bike wear and makes many of the shirts herself.  WE love the ones with the suspender straps.  She imprints the logo and makes the shirts to YOUR specs.  I like mine a little longer than most....what a joy.  She also makes head bands.  Check out Daytona Thunderwear today, just click the link.
Diva Annette runs our show.
My first ride with the NSB Divas.  We rode to Welaka and had lunch on the St. John's then home.  I had a great time and enjoyed the day.  Thanks Marie for a great trip.

I am back from my couple of days in Lake Butler.  This was my first 'overnighter' on the bike.  It was not that far at all, and it was an easy ride.  Most of the way was familiar and traffic was non existant.  I managed to get everything in my backpack and all of it bungeed on the sissy bar.  I don't have any pictures yet, but I do have some to post.  A couple of weeks ago, some of the Divas rode with a group of folks called the Southern Cruisers.  We went to Clark's fish camp in Jacksonville and we had a great time.  Johanne and Stacey and I came home down I95.  My first time taking the Bullet on the interstate.  Not my favorite place to be on the bike, but I can do it.  Last weekend the Divas rode to Welaka for breakfast. Since Marie sliced open her hand, we had to cut our scheduled ride short.  It was still a great day and I had a ball, as usual.  So here are a few shots from those rides.  Hugs from the beach..................CHARLIE

She used to work in a diner
Never saw a woman look finer
I used to order just to watch her float across the floor
She grew up in a small town
Never put her roots down
Daddy always kept movin', so she did too.

Somewhere on a desert highway
She rides a Harley-Davidson
Her long blonde hair flyin' in the wind
She's been runnin' half her life
The chrome and steel she rides
Collidin' with the very air she breathes
The air she breathes.

You know it ain't easy
You got to hold on
She was an unknown legend in her time
Now she's dressin' two kids
Lookin' for a magic kiss
She gets the far-away look in her eyes.

Somewhere on a desert highway
She rides a Harley-Davidson
Her long blonde hair flyin' in the wind
She's been runnin' half her life
The chrome and steel she rides
Collidin' with the very air she breathes
The air she breathes.
